| The
MetLinkInternational Project
As you will know from our note in November 2008, we have been working on a redevelopment of the MetLink website and as part of that we are phasing out the data entry facility at the end of February. The new MetLink site will be launched on 1 March. We have consulted widely across the schools community on the types of information teachers would like to see on this site so I very much hope you will find the new resources both useful and interesting. This is only the first phase of development and we would very much welcome your comments and feedback (to education@rmets.org) to help us continue to improve the material we have on-line. The observations that have already been submitted to MetLink will continue to be available through the new MetLink site. Also during 2010/2011 we hope to be launching, separately from MetLink, a new data entry portal jointly with the Met Office for your weather observations. We hope that this will be a useful tool for all those schools who currently submit observations to MetLink and are keen to continue with this.
